SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) is a new type of flooring that is 100% waterproof, zero formaldehyde, and highly stable. It is made of limestone powder (stone powder) + PVC + stabilizer pressed together at high temperature. In recent years, due to its excellent waterproofness and environmental protection, it has gradually become a popular choice for home decoration and industrial decoration, especially suitable for scenes such as kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and commercial spaces.
Outstanding advantages of SPC flooring
(1) 100% waterproof, suitable for humid environments
It is completely resistant to water bubbles and can be laid in kitchens, bathrooms, balconies, basements, and even outdoors (some products).
Compared with laminate flooring (afraid of water) and solid wood flooring (easy to deform), SPC is an ideal choice for humid areas.
(2) Zero formaldehyde, environmentally friendly and safe
The substrate has no glue, and the formaldehyde emission is ≤0.02mg/m³ (far below the ENF grade standard), which is suitable for mother-child families.
Compared with laminate flooring (HDF substrate contains glue), SPC is more environmentally friendly.
(3) Super stability, suitable for floor heating
The thermal expansion and contraction rate is extremely low, and it does not deform in the floor heating environment (≤60℃), which is suitable for laying floor heating in the whole house.
Compared with solid wood flooring (special treatment is required) and laminate flooring (partially available), SPC is more stable.
(4) Ultra-thin and light, saving floor height
The thickness is 4~6mm (+1~2mm base pad), suitable for renovation of old houses and direct laying in fine houses, without affecting the door height.
Compared with solid wood (15~18mm) and laminate (8~12mm), SPC saves more space.
(5) Wear-resistant and scratch-resistant, suitable for commercial and home use
Surface UV coating AC3~AC5 wear-resistant (commercial grade), resistant to high heels and pet scratching.
Compared with solid wood (regular maintenance is required), SPC is more worry-free.
(6) Easy to install, lock-type splicing
No glue or keel required, can be laid directly on tiles and cement floors, and supports DIY.
Compared with solid wood (needs keel) and ceramic tiles (needs cement mortar), SPC construction is faster.
